I was originally thrilled to get this watch because of all the great features, but ladies should be forewarned that it is a very large watch face, especially for a thin wrist. It is certainly bulkier than I want to wear as an “everyday” watch.

After I played with the watch for a week, I would actually change my rating if I could (1 or 2):

I don’t know if there was a problem with the watch I bought or if this is a common problem, but I calibrated it 4 times, and it still would not accurately calculate distance and pace. I ran 3 miles in 33 minutes, and it told me I ran a 59 minute mile pace for a total of 0.4 miles.

It seemed to calculate steps accurately so I don’t think it was a battery issue.

If you are looking for a watch to let you keep tabs of the number of laps you have done so that you can mindlessly swim without counting, this is not the watch for you. It times laps, and actually allows you to recall how you did on one lap v. another, but it does not count them.

Also the instructions keep referring to things that are not there: + and - buttons, etc. In fairness, there is some size -10 font print written around the face, but even with my glasses on, I can not read it and don’t want a watch I have to look at through a magnifying glass.

Was really excited to get the watch for swimming but will have to return it unfortunately.

I got this watch for my sister for Christmas. After calibrating it it has been very accurate and reliable. She is a marathoner and she says it is a must have for both training and racing.

I bought this watch for my wife and her marathon running, she absolutely adores it! Once we set all the calculations it’s a flawless piece. We did all the measuring for walk, jog & run stride lengths and steps per minute for each as well (which is a bit painstaking taking up to 15 minutes of your time…a whole 15 minutes, geez) she never has to worry about it being off ever again…and me being rather anal I even checked distances against it on my bike, car and web, perfect! I highly recommend you do this for accuracy. Like Ron says…”set it and forget it!”

Now, as to what everyone else is complaining about…”too big” I just have to say “HUH”? Have you looked at watches these days? THIS is too BIG? Something from Alice in Wonderland is too big. It does have a large face, though no bigger than my sport or designer watches, I don’t know what these sporty people expect to be able to read on a smaller face while jogging & swimming. You know this is for outdoors, right, not exquisite dining at the White House?

Other complaints seem to be “user error” not the watches, I don’t see your reviews as helpful for or against.

My wife and I highly recommend this watch for runners who want to concentrate on your run and not counting or checking your watch. She’s had several pedometers in the past and they all died quickly or were inaccurate that I though I’d step it up a notch for her with this, boy did I ever. She now says she enjoys her “worry free runs”.

I like this watch. It does what it says it can do. And it’s not too big and bulky to wear everyday. I did have some difficulty calibrating the watch for walking and jogging, but once I got it done, it’s worked well. I’m still having fun playing with it and all the things it can do!
