@LtBlue14 I knew that he fired two of his band mates but wasn’t sure what became of Shins so I assume they split. Either way, I’m glad Mercer is continuing to make music. One of my favorite artists!

@nosepilot44 The band isn’t over – Mercer just had to kick the (terrible) drummer and the keyboard player. Mercer is also on a break from doing Shins stuff for a little while, probably from being burnt out because he needed to be the entire genius of that band, whereas here he gets to collaborate and not have the weight of the band on his shoulders. Also, search “I definitely see why he was seeking outside sources” to read quotes from the Shins’ drummer on the split. I can’t link on YouTube.

Just bought this album on Amazon the other day for $5…so good. I wish I bought it earlier!

The entire album is pure genius. I love every song and I love that they sing about life…and not just relationship stuff.
Downloaded their whole album on iTunes. Amazing record.

There’s static in my head… I feel positively charged.
This sounds slightly like Air. I was surprise to read of the Shins split up and the merging of Danger Mouse and James Mercer. I love the outcome!
