CSXT B749 hauling Q701 – DAYLIGHT Hudson Freight
In the wee hours of the morning of January 13, 2011, CSXT empty unit Trash Train Q70112 incurred problems which caused to miss the cutoff for freight trains on Metro-North’s Hudson Line where the freight trains are generally not allowed to run during the rush hours. The train sat at CP75 awaiting a crew for several hours until Croton West Yard based local crew B749 went up to retrieve the train and bring it the rest of the way to Oak Point Yard, Bronx, NY. They even had to perform the train’s Croton drop as the head end of the train was 12-cars for Croton and an engine (MNCW217) destined for Metro-North (the engine was returning from rebuild). There was additional footage from this day but it will be omitted for sake of watch-ability. ©2011 Josh Weis ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
