I absolutely love this watch. It’s beautiful. I love the simplicity and the big numbers, everything.

I’ve been using it for three months now, and the glass on my watch is very very scratched now. I am not very careful, I admit.
The leather strap is also delicate, you should be careful not to get it wet. Mine still works but it looks like it won’t for much long.

In overall, I love the watch, the quality is ok, but still I would have expected more, especially from Timex.

Customer Review: Worst Purchase EVER!
This watch was ridiculous! I tried 4 different times to get this watch to work on long runs. Only once did I get the GPS to connect to the watch. I thought for $165 I could get a decent alternative to the Garmin – I was wrong. I have returned the watch, which is a WHOLE story in itself. I still haven’t gotten credited for the return after 2 ½ weeks. I called Jomashop, which Amazon outsourcers to and after sitting on hold for 20 minutes was told I would get my refund maybe in a week. Hum………….Not a great shopping experience.
Customer Review: Great product!
I’ve had the Timex Body Link for 3 year and absolutely love it! Using the heart rate monitor & GPS is very simple, all you have to do is turn them on push the red display button and they start working. There are also a number of different display settings for enthusiasts to customize.

The watch comes with a heart rate monitor (chest strap) and a GPS piece. The GPS comes with a arm band and belt clip accessories. This is not a watch with GPS built in like Garmin watches.

Timex also sells a data recorder that works with the Body Link system, but I would not buy it again since the software that comes with it is pretty worthless. Besides, most of the information you would want to track can be stored in the watch and written down later.

Pros:
- Easy to get started with
- 100 lap memory
- Loads of different display modes
- Reasonably small compared to other GPS watches
- Great price
- Heart rate recovery timer

Cons:
- GPS needs a lot of “open” sky to work properly, if you plan on running on forest trails or in the city with a lot of high rise buildings the GPS can’t lock on to enough satellites.

Customer Review: Yet Another Timex Let-down
I have had this watch for about three years now. It took a long time to get used to the weight of the thing. Eventually I did though. The vibrating alarm is a great idea. It worked for about a month before the vibrating motor went out on it. So then I had a huge, heavy watch that is just a watch. Just yesterday, I took the back off of it to see what size the motor is to replace it. It’s in plan view and easy to get to. I didn’t remove a single screw, didn’t take the battery out or anything, just purely looked in the case. Now the back won’t go back on and the alarm knob fell out and won’t go back in.

The thing that ~really~ upsets me is that I’m going to have to buy a new one only because my girlfriend got me this one for Valentines day and, well, you follow me…

I can say this though, it’ll be the last Timex I buy. All in all, this is my third expedition and all of them have either been inconvenient to where (bulky and huge) or the alarms have stopped working.

I’m hoping that Timex doesn’t own Swiss Army or something like that when I do buy a different watch.
Customer Review: Wouldn’t buy again
As others said, it is heavy and large….doesn’t bother me though and I’m just an average joe. My main complaints are it’s poor workmanship. The first one I got stopped working after two weeks. The mechanism broke so the hands stopped moving. I returned it and got a second. It was great for a month or two, but I noticed one thing in general: you set the vibrating alarm by pulling out the bottom knob…but it’s easy to accidentally push it back in again unawares so that the alarm never goes off. An alarm watch that is unreliable becomes worthless. Then this one’s back light went out. So I’ve stopped wearing it….it’s too heavy for an ordinary watch.

I LOVE the vibrating alarm…if I find another watch with the same feature I’ll probably get it. But perhaps not from Timex.
